11th year camping at Jalama in November and my blog's 6th year anniversary!
I say it every year but Jalama is truly heaven on earth. I love this tradition, this vacation, this break from the fast pace world and schedules. This trip and because it is over Thanksgiving time really makes me so grateful for all that I have. Not just materialistic stuff but for my family, my friends, the earth and all its beauty and for my Savior.

The Pearl family is from La Jolla we see them every year too at Jalama. It happened to be Hanukkah during Thanksgiving week so we celebrated with them lighting the menorah and playing some dreidel.

Surf seems to get big while we are there. One day probably 15-18 foot faces. Christian surfed Tarantulas one day about 12-15 feet, I was a nervous mama. Luckily there were some smaller calmer days so the kids could have fun too!
