We love the Menehune Surf Contest in La Jolla. This is Christian's 5th year and Layne's 4th year. This year Layne had to paddle into her own waves. Both her and Christian did awesome! Christian 1st heat got 3rd, 2nd heat got 3rd and then in his finals got 2nd place! Layne got 1st in her 1st heat and then got 1st in her finals! We had to get up at 4:15 am and didn't get back home till 8:00 pm, it was a long day but SO worth it!
Christian was in the very 1st heat at 7:00 am.
